Cyclone Technology

Cyclone technology is an efficient separator technology that is successful in separating particles with a specific gravity heavier than raw water from water by centrifugal effect. It protects water lines and filtration systems from abrasive particles with friction effect and ensures their performance.

The raw water enters the Hydrocyclone body through a tangential inlet, creating a spiral flow starting from the upper zone towards the lower sand tank. This flow separates sand particles or other particles heavier than water from the raw water according to the centrifugal principle and pushes them along the cyclone walls towards the sand tank. Under the effect of centrifugal force, clean water, free of sand particles or other particles heavier than water, moves upwards in the cyclone center and flows out of the outlet section at the top of the hydrocyclone. Particles accumulated in the sand tank (settling tank) can be removed from the tank by automatic valve or manual valve.

Self Cleaning: Hydrocyclone is not a type of filter, so there is no clogging problem. The particles separated from the water are accumulated in the sand tank and discharged at certain times. The particles accumulated in the sand tank can be discharged automatically thanks to the automatic valve and controller.

Water Types: Suitable for all water types with high specific gravity in raw water.

Filtering Element: A hydrocyclone is not a type of filter, it is a separator. The hydrocyclone body can be made of carbon steel and stainless steel and plastic

Filtering Degree: 60 - 120 microns
